Awesome test
Our dum chicken biryani costs $6 - $14 depending on portion size. The regular size is $9.
We have a few vegetarian options. Other than vegetable dum biryani, we have vegetable samosas and chana masala.
Can try via Grab.
We do not take reservations at the moment unfortunately but we have plenty of seats if you avoid peak lunch periods :)
Along the roadside. Or you can park at The Verge or Tekka Market
Ordered the goat briyani. thought not as good as before. And at $15 per pop, I expected more.
Great place to sample local Indian food served on a tray covered with greaseproof paper. Wide selection of hot and cold drinks.
Super delicious....worth the trip and money....the meat is so well cooked and the biryani... Will make u go back again and again...😍
Excellent food and service. Willing to go out of their way to help me out with an item left in the restaurant after hours.
One of the best briyani in Singapore for me. Try the young goat briyani, which cost either $15 or $20 for double portion of meat. Well worth the money. During the hot afternoons, there’s a Aircon section where you can eat in relative comfort.
The Biryani was excellent and spiced quite well and the chicken was tender. The curry was also very good, except that there were too many bones from the chicken that got in, and one of the pieces of chicken in the curry was cold. Also the place is pretty dirty including the bathroom.
After reading the reviews online I decided to give it a try. I must say I'll give it zero stars if I could. An overhyped and way overpriced briyani place. I placed an order via grabfood for 1 chicken briyani. It cost me $16 with more meat excluding delivery fee and order didn't even come with curry. I was literally eating plain briyani rice with chicken. The chicken briyani was way below average. Honestly, i can get a way better briyani half the price in normal coffeshops. Please cross out this over hyped place!
Awesome as always. Please note that this is not your regular Dum Briyani with many kinds of gravy. If that's the kind you want, you won't find it here. Instead what is served her is the Biryani served with curd. There are no sauces other than the curd but you honestly won't need it. Each grain of basmati rice is lovingly flavoured with a myriad of spices and great to the last grain. Order the Lamb Biryani, get a side of Vegetable samosas and wash down with a mango lassi. Please don't expect a romantic air conditioned restaurant. It's not. It's a simple coffee shop style eating house with no air con. But let's be honest, some of the best food in the world are served in places like these.
Food is good but restaurant not ckean
One of best mutton biryani in Singapore I had tried. Taste very good. Must try their mutton biryani and Qulfi. They need to work on restaurant interior aa currently it is very basic. They don't have halal certificate but their food is halal
Bismillah serves the best Biryani in Singapore. Thier kid goat Biryani is to die for.
Good biryani. Prefer the chicken. Also had the "kid goat". It's not goat... Especially when the waitress ordered it loudly as mutton. I explained that those are two different animals and that I don't want mutton. She tried to assure me that it's goat and yelled to the kitchen again "mutton". It was mutton and it was mostly fat and bones. Get the chicken! Also had a mixed samosa plate - best samosa I ever had! Especially the veggie one was awesome! Kulfi as a dessert!
Ordered from Grab Food. By far, the worst haleem I’ve ever tasted in my life. Chicken seekh Kababs also below average and slightly overcooked. Mutton biryani plain and boring. Not sure how this place has an average rating of 4 over here.
Great biryani.....very authentic....
The briyani was good. But the price was very steep for mutton.
Had chicken and kid lamb briyani. Briyani quantity and taste is not up to the mark. Customer service was poor. Much better briyani can be found in other restaurants in Little India.
Quite a lot of hype for this restaurant. But the briyani taste just ok only. Just like any briyani I’ve eaten anywhere. They mass prepare it so when I ordered, the briyani came 20sec later. Flavour was there in the rice but the chicken meat was too dry.
1 time for price that I cannot afford for 1 small portion
Brilliant taste, authentic flavour of biriani, i would say so far best in Singapore. Highly recommended.
I found the chicken briyani to be about average. The portion of chicken pieces was ok but was a little too soft, while the hard boiled egg was too cold. The spiciness lacked variety.
Tasty biryani, tasted chicken and kid goat, both were delicious.
I take visitors to Singapore (my biz colleagues/friends) to this authentic Biryani spot. So far it has been a great feedback from all i have taken.Best part is, its different to most of the types people would have tested and doesn't carry a lot of spice or oil.
Best biryani 👍🏻👍🏻 with lot of lambs
Hands down one of the best places to have biryani!!
Very good service. Halal food, jumbo portion. The best biryani everywhere 😁. Their mango lassy so delicious 😊.
Very good and excellent choice of pakistani styled beriyani. I bought the lamb one though it's costly but the meat is super tender and worth a treat!
Wanted to try to see what's the hype all about. Small portion for the price paid, can taste just hot pepper spiciness and nothing else. Also the fried onions had an aftertaste, as if fried from some oil and not ghee. Won't be buying again. I've tasted better briyani.
very tasty mutton biriyani. they don’t use lots of spices and the style is a quite different from most other biriyani in town
Heard a lot of good things about this briyani shop. It’s tastes quite good considering this is a take-away. Used GrabFood for this (extra meat serving) as I was stuck at work and raining heavily. The mutton was fall off the bone good but the meat serving was small and nothing like the extra meat I ordered, more like extra bone under the rice. Rice was quite fragrant but certain parts clumped up and had no taste. Only thing missing was some mutton curry to compliment the rice. It came with a packet of sour dip yogurt which I didn’t really prefer. I spent a total of S$20++ on this dum briyani.
Real good, fluffy flavourful rice with a spice punch. Mutton just get slide off the bone and it is not dry out or flaky. Truly a master pieces of rice and meat ! Only complain is small plate and expensiveBy Grabfood $16
Best biryani in Singapore!! Aromatic rice and tender meat! Looking forward to trying other dishes in the menu.
Food King Good! Personally I'd prefer the ones that come with the gravy, but this is a totally new experience. The rice and the meat is very fragrant.
Long wait in a queue but shows the popularity of the place!
Do not order food from this place! I ordered biryanis and it was full of cloves and cinnamon leaving a bitter aftertaste. This is not authentic food!Scammers and fraudulent misrepresentation!Called the owner to tell him how shocking his food is and his response is he makes it in some factory in Paya Laber so he can’t control quality. What a loser! Then why some factory made food for $15!!!Clearly they have put up fake positive reviews because the food is not edible at all!!!
Worst Biryani with a pepperish taste... not worth the hype.. almost $17 bucks for the worst Biryani in Singapore...
Ordered the Kid Goat Biriyani, and it's good. 3 different size portion you can choose from too. It's a small little restaurant, ambience wise is a little too dull. But definitely worth the try for the food.
The best biryani I've ever had. Simply the best. And great value. Fast service too.
Tried their Kid Goat Biriyani and so far it's good, it was tasty. Service is good. Great selection of drinks available!
Nice and testing food Available here.Nice
Tried the lamb shank $20 and kid goat $15 briyanis. Although the prices are on the high side, the meats were excellent. Fall off the bone tender. The rice was very flavourful, full of spices but would have been better if less oily. There's no curry served with the rice and even signs to remind you non available. Instead there's a watery yoghurt sauce which was not to my taste. Even then since the rice was tasty I don't miss the curry. Take note it's a self service restaurant. Minus point the interior is dark, cramp and dated decor.
Chicken Biryani was disappointing for an eatery awarded the Bib Gourmand. Also quite pricey for the quality of the food and the atmosphere. I have had much better and more affordable Biryani at many other places.
You may be a little dubious after reading the sign stating ‘probably the best biryani anywhere’ (especially if you also saw a similar sign a few doors down), but after trying the ‘kid goat biryani’, it’s easy to see why this simple restaurant has received a ‘bib gourmand’ Michelin award for the last few years.Order your meal, take a seat (until your buzzer beeps), be amazed as the incredibly tender and juicy meat literally falls off the bone, and then enjoy all the delicious flavours on offer. Can’t wait to visit again, this time on an empty stomach!
Claims to be the best Biryani in Singapore. It’s not. Service is poor, restaurant is dirty and I don’t want to see the conditions in the back were they make it.
Several years ago, came in to buy 3 briyani. Shop was not fully open. 2 staff attended. Charge me $15 per briyani. I paid $45 dollars. I believe till today the staff had cheated me. I never return for another take.Overall briyani is mediocre.
Had the kid goat biryani - it was excellent!
Today Having lunch with 4.of us..Upset with Briyani with no dalca or curry gravy?Restaurant with self service & expensive Briyani ...locals are advice to eat at tekka market instead with serving & drinks sent to your table👎🏿..Will nvr recommend & will be my last .
Don’t expect a briyani with curry gravy..
I started going to Bismillah 10 years ago when it was a single outlet. The Biryani used to be as good as it comes. Picked up some double mutton Biryani today after a long long time. Sisappointing for 20$. The rice was spicy but lacked the layers of flavours. But the really disappointing thing was the mutton which was either just bone or fat. Not worth the 20 bucks.
Mutton biryani is very good. Dry, but good in taste. You go to the place strictly for food. Good for take out.
Surely the best Dum Biryani in Singapore. The other places are not cooked in authentic Indian style at all. The Dunlop Street outlet is famous for its kid goat version of the biryani.
